Joining me this week is Karen Johnson. Karen is a retired federal administrative law judge and practiced criminal and energy law for over 30 years.
Karen was called to study shamanic energy medicine with the Four Winds Society after her son’s death from a heroin overdose. Karen didn’t bow to social expectation and “accept it” or “get over it”. Instead she retired, sold her house and all her household goods and went on a two-and-a-half-year journey that took her all over the world on a search for meaning in her tragic loss and a way to build a new life out of the ashes of the old one.
Karen now teaches shamanic energy medicine with the Four Winds Society and has a worldwide practice. She has been teaching shamanic energy medicine for five years and has taught hundreds of students from all over the world, many of whom struggle with grief.
Teaching and ministering to friends and students has increased her knowledge and compassion for those who have suffered great loss. As part of her shamanic practice Karen helps those who have passed to transition to the other side and helps survivors with their grieving process. You can find her on the web at www.KarenJohnson.net.
